This green smoothie is the fresh start to almost all of my days – it’s packed full of fiber and nutrients, and still light on the stomach and easy to digest.

Ingredients

(makes 1 smoothie – double or triple the recipe as needed to make more smoothies)

½ c frozen strawberries

1 large stalk celery

¼ – ½ c chopped cucumber

2-3 Tbsp chopped fennel bulb

1-2 inches fresh ginger root, minced

a small handful of each of the following fresh herbs:

cilantro

mint

basil

parsley

1 c coconut water or regular water

protein powder, to taste

1 Tbsp chia seeds

 

Optional Add-Ins:

1-2 tsp bee pollen

½ -1 tsp cinnamon

a dash of cayenne pepper

¼ avocado

Blend. Enjoy ?
