Kelsey Ale

This decadent hot chocolate mix is a much better choice than traditional store-bought packets – it’s dairy-free and sweetened with coconut sugar instead of refined sugar. This homemade mix is also a great gift idea! You can portion it into a mason jar and pair it with a cute mug and measuring spoon for a thoughtful homemade treat!

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup cacao powder

1 cup coconut sugar

2 Tbsp arrowroot starch

4 packets powdered stevia

1/2 tsp vanilla powder

1/4 tsp sea salt

6 oz baker’s chocolate, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until a uniform powder forms.
  2. Heat one cup of water or dairy-free milk (almond or coconut milk are my favorites) over medium heat on the stove.
  3. Whisk in 3 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix, and continue to whisk 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store extra mix in an airtight container in the fridge up to 2 months.
